Job Description:

You will serve as a CONTRACT SPECIALIST in the ACQUISITION DIVISION of NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING AND EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE CENTER. Salary: GS-12 $101,121 - $131,452 Salary: GS-13 $120,246 -$156, 323
For the GS-13, position, in addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Interpreting and ensuring that contract actions are in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, policies, standards or procedures;2) Reviewing procurement requests to assure clarity, adequacy, and completeness;3) Serving as contractual authority on the acceptability and applicability of contractual matters on contract actions, and provides advice, training, guidance, and interpretation to the team on procurement regulations, policies, and procedures; and4) Advising on and conducting the procurement process from solicitation to award and through all post award phases of contracting, including modifications, processing payments, final invoicing, final evaluation, and closeout. **NOTE: Experience must be fully supported in your resume in order to be considered for this position.** For the GS-12 position, in addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. You will prepare contracts and contract specifications for development, demonstration models, and/or preliminary design when new or untried concepts or techniques are involved.
You will oversee contracts by monitoring contract performance, preparing modifications, and determining the necessary course of action to comply with terms.
You will assist/conduct price and cost analysis to determine reasonableness of price to make recommendations for the award.
You will review procurement requests to assure clarity, adequacy and completeness.
You will review contract terms and technical specifications to identify any special requirements.
