This position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factor is: Current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) in the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, or any State in the U.S. In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position and required license, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Enforce all technical and administrative provisions of construction contracts; 2) Participates in Pre-award/Post-award contract meetings; 3) Reviews and manages the contractor's administrative and technical submittals and Contractor's Request for information (RFIs) ensuring timely responses; 4) Monitors assigned projects budgets and time constraints; 5) Visits construction sites to monitor progress of work. You will provide expert construction engineering and management advisory services to all activities and tenants.
You will serve as a lead engineer/architect in the full range of construction projects, providing expert advice to junior/senior colleagues and agency officials.
You will serve as a primary point of contact for coordination of all assigned projects (e.g. new construction, renovations, demolition, environmental remediation, equipment installation, dredging, or energy.
You will be responsible for managing inter-related construction projects associated with a high-visibility Program at the Installation.
