About the position: This position will be assigned to the Patrick SFB Information, Ticket & Travel (ITT) Office. This position requires shift work to provide coverage on days, evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Scheduled hours will be 0-40 per week. Must have and maintain a valid U.S. driver's license.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have responsible experience in clerical, office, cash handling, or retail sales work of any kind which demonstrates the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of the position. Experience must demonstrate knowledge of proper cash handling procedures, the ability to resolve common arithmetic problems used when receiving payment from customers, and the ability to operate a cash register or point of sale system. Must be able to read, write, and speak English and be able to communicate effectively. Must possess skill in dealing with the public.
Applicants will be reviewed and referred on the following dates: Jan 10, 2025, Jan 21, 2025, and closing on Jan 30, 2025. Announcement will close once position is filled. Performs a variety of customer service, sales, and related functions at the Patrick SFB Information, Ticket, & Travel (ITT) Office. Greets patrons, provides requested information, and performs over-the counter selling of tickets to central Florida are attractions and resale merchandise such as clothing, souvenirs, gifts, and other miscellaneous items. Explains process, discounts, special promotions, and park offerings to patrons. May organize trips and/or tours to Central Florida attractions. Operates a point-of-sale inventory system to complete and record sales and ticket inventory, make change, and issue tickets and merchandise. Accounts for cash and tickets daily, prepares cashier reports and corrects errors. Resolves customer complaints by directly contacting vendor. Orders brochures, pamphlets, and other promotional materials and keeps displays current and appealing. Maintains daily ticket inventory and ensures tickets are properly safeguarded and accounted for. Assists or conducts monthly and other periodic inventories of tickets and merchandise. Recommends retail items to be purchased or discontinued. Performs other related duties as assigned.
