This position is a Career/Career-Conditional Full-time appointment located in Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve, in the Facility Management Division. As a Maintenance Worker, you will perform the following duties: Performing recurring building and/or utility maintenance and operation duties and to assist journeymen and other higher-graded workers. Replacing light switches and household light fixtures and changing light bulbs. Mixing masonry cement, sand and water, cinder blocks and flagstone. Performing concrete and plaster touch up around existing historic and other masonry structures. Testing and treating wastewater. Operating and performing minor maintenance on vehicles such as ten-wheel dump truck, front end loader, bulldozer, and hot oil distributer. Performing engineering equipment operation.
