THIS IS A NORTH DAKOTA NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This ND National Guard position is for a MOBILIZATION DEPLOYMENT SPECIALIST, Position Description Number D2025000 and is part of the ND G3, National Guard.
PCS STATEMENT: PERMANENT CHANGE OF STATION COSTS WILL NOT BE PAID FOR THIS POSITION. MILITARY GRADES: Officer (O1-O3), Warrant Officer (WO1-CW4); Enlisted (E6- E8), and Enlisted members who hold a certificate of eligibility. QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. The applicant's record of experience and/or training must show possession of the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position. You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement: Possess 1-year specialized experience, education or training equivalent to at least the GS 07 grade level which includes: 1) Broad knowledge of standardized administrative principles, concepts, policies, objectives, practices, and procedures to identify, analyze, and recommend solutions to problems. 2) Address problems head-on and develop or assist in the development of solutions to minimize potential disruption of office operations.; 3) Utilize computers and organization office automation applications to include word processor, spreadsheet, database, graphics and presentation, electronic mail system, etc. OR, A master's or equivalent graduate degree. OR, 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree.
Serves as the Mobilization/Deployment Specialist for the Installation. Work is to be performed in the areas of Mobilization Readiness including Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP) and Soldier Readiness Checks (SRC). Incumbent provides oversight, planning, interpretation and application of policy. Also provides final review and validation of products for presentation through chain of command. Coordinates and synchronizes SRPs and SRCs in concert with other G Staff elements. Develops, coordinates, and distributes guidelines for formalizing and structuring Soldier Readiness Processing and Soldier Readiness Checks at all levels, to include company, battalion, and brigade levels. Coordinates with the mobilizing unit chain of command, intermediate commands, SRP site proponent, JFHQ, Mobilization Station LNO, and various State agencies and organizations to insure that procedures meet office needs and are consistently understood and followed. Assists and advises action officers on all procedural and administrative aspects of staff actions. Maintains Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP) master calendars and related appointment/meeting schedules.
