Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the job elements and screen out listed below. The Screen-out Element for this position is: 1) Reading blueprints, technical directives and detailed procedures to select trade tools and equipment needed to complete assignments; 2) Repairing, disassembling, and assembling of aircraft and related major components to complete less complex overhaul or modification assignments; 3) Working on a team under the direction of a higher graded/senior employee to perform maintenance and repair of fixed and rotary wing aircraft systems, airframes, components, and assemblies. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. You will overhaul and repair a wide variety of aircraft systems and components which includes pneudraulic/hydraulic, fuel tanks, flight control, rotor drive, gear boxes, rotor heads, and rotor blades.
You will disassemble and assemble aircraft or major components for overhaul or modification.
You will remove major aircraft components of aircraft structure systems, i.e., control surfaces, doors, hatches, landing gear assemblies, and control cables.
You will install, align, and adjust less complex aircraft systems, subsystems, assemblies, and components.
