THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a TRAINING SPECIALIST (TITLE 32), Position Description Number NGD1521000 and is part of the TN 118th WING, Air National Guard. This vacancy is covered by Association of Civilian Technicians (ACT), Chapter 116 (Music City Chapter).
Military Grades: E5 through E7 Compatible Military Assignments: 3F2 GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience in the field of education and training when the work requires knowledge of program objectives, policies, procedures, or pertinent regulatory requirements affecting the education or training activity. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 24 months or 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade; Knowledge of Army or Air Force education and training programs regarding their principles and procedures; Experience in performing interviews and counseling techniques; training techniques and instruction methods; task analysis procedures, learning processes, curriculum development, training evaluations, and education and training systems and products; effective writing skills; editing practices; instructional media application, training reporting, program and curriculum validation, and implementation procedures; Experience in scheduling training events and facilities; supporting assistance visits and training meetings; or assisting in work center and individual job qualification standard development; education institution registration requirements; and military personnel classification system and policies; Experience in the capabilities of communicative interpersonal skill applications and distance learning concepts; Experience as a participant and presenter during training and military or civilian conference events.
As the TRAINING SPECIALIST GS-1702-09, the incumbent will oversee, monitor, and evaluate military /ancillary training requisites for the unit. Monitor the OJT training programs for the group and supported units, if any. Monitor the Enlisted Specialty Training (EST) program by establishing policies and procedures to provide a uniform and effective EST program. Confer with management and key operating personnel to discuss factors pointing to training needs, problems, and the goals of training. Maintain liaison with the Field Training Detachment (FTD), Air Education and Training Command (AETC) advisory services, film libraries, and other training device resources and ensure their effective utilization in support of AOG and related training programs. As unit Test Control Officer, administer controlled tests for personnel enrolled in mandatory/voluntary CDCs and Professional Military Education (PME) programs. Oversee, develop, and administer management training programs for all personnel. Instruct management, section supervisors, and trainers on the concepts, scope, and objectives of management training programs. Direct, conduct, and monitor the training necessary to ensure understanding of the AF management system. Performs other duties as assigned.
