Qualifications: Ability to understand and follow oral instructions and do simple tasks that are easy to learn. SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE: Must have knowledge of basic food handling techniques, personal hygiene standards and safe work procedures. Must have the ability to perform routine manual tasks involving few steps and be able to read and understand written material. Must have knowledge of basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals. The experience listed above must be reflected on your resume to be considered eligible for this position.
Performs a variety of routine manual tasks in a kitchen or dining area following established procedures.
Prepares food by sorting, washing, peeling, and cutting fresh fruit and vegetables.
Clean kitchen equipment such as worktables, sinks and refrigerators. Separates food waste and trash from dishes, glasses, and silverware. Loads and operate dishwashers. Stores cleaned dishes, glasses and silverware.
Sets up glasses, silverware, dishes, trays, napkins, condiments, and cold menu items such as salads, desserts, bread, and cold beverages on a serving line or tables.
Performs other duties as assigned.
