Job Description:
Finance Staff (FS) formulates, establishes, and maintains Department-wide policies, procedures, and financial systems to support planning, programming, budgeting, accounting and other financial management activities. This position is in the Financial Systems Production Group (FSPG) responsible for the production operations of the Department's financial management systems, including but not limited to help desk support; batch operations oversight; and account management.
To qualify for the position of Supervisory Financial Management Analyst at (GS-0501-15), you must meet the required specialized experience specific to this series and grade you're applying to. If you are a current or former government employee on a permanent appointment in the competitive service, you will need to demonstrate 1-year (52-weeks) at the next lower grade level, to meet the time-in-grade requirements for this occupational series and grade. Additionally, please ensure to submit an applicable SF50 (please refer to the "required documents" section for additional information). Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or equivalent band in the Federal service, which includes: Develops, monitors, or maintains multiple financial management systems; AND Coordinates actions related to formulation of budgets for multi-year programs. Provides guidance in planning, testing, revising, implementing, and maintaining complex financial management systems. Evaluates systems procedures, policies and issues.
