About the Position: The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) develops and delivers responsive aviation, missile and calibration materiel readiness to the U.S. Army. Specialized Experience: To qualify, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Experience providing logistical support for aircraft at the field or unit level; 2) Experience in deployment, foreign military sales, procurement, maintenance, supply, training, distribution, provisioning, and/or equipment readiness logistic operations or management programs; AND 3) Experience with contract compliance processes. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Oral Communication Product Support Management Technical Data Written Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
Coordinate and exercise managerial direction over the integration of new equipment training, fielding, redistribution of items, and disposal for assigned weapon systems during all phases of the life cycle.
Apply a variety of analytical methods and techniques to unique and complex logistics matters.
Review and analyze report for Rotary Wing Aviation system to determine solutions to logistics problems.
Provides timely, consistent and comprehensive oversight of assigned contracts, delivery orders and task orders.
Makes formal and informal presentations to all management levels, outlining the history, current status and objectives of the logistics program and related functions.
Maintain liaison relationships with other organizations and other agencies as well as industry to review and analyze reports for assigned systems to determine solutions for logistics problems to circumvent potential program issues.
