Job Description:
You will serve as a DEPUTY TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER for the Mission Assurance Decision Support System (MADSS) in the Strategic and Computing Systems Department of NAVSURFWARCENDLD.
This is an interdisciplinary position and may be filled by a General Engineer (0801-series), a General Physical Scientist (1301-series), an Operations Research Analyst (1515-series), a Mathematician (1520-series), or a Computer Scientist (1550-series) depending upon the qualifications of the candidate. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a professional Engineer or Scientist supporting the technical execution and administrative process (e.g. staffing, budget, schedule, and contractor performance) to ensure timely and cost-effective capability delivery while supporting strategic initiatives, risk management, and reporting for the improvement or optimization of a technical program. You will be responsible for tracking internal staffing, budget, program schedule, and administrative processes.
You will be responsible for monthly reporting responsibilities, including responding to data calls, attending forums, handling updates, co-chairing the Risk Management Board, and supporting Quarterly and Technical Executive Reviews.
You will be responsible for daily contractor oversight of the program in close collaboration with the PM, Contractor Representatives (CORs), and Contractor PMs.
You will partner with the PM in implementing technical, programmatic, and organizational strategic initiatives across the Mission Assurance Decision Support System (MADSS) Team and other stakeholders.
You will maintain a trusted partnership with the PMO, Joint Cyber Command and Control, and other sponsors including the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, Air Force Lifecycle Management Center, and Defense Information Services Agency.
You will assist the PM in the technical execution of the customized SAFe and DevSecOps processes for all MADSS development and deployment activities in order to improve capability delivery timelines, minimize costs, and ensure system performance.
You will assist the PM in planning and leading meetings and briefings/demonstrations, coordinating special projects, and facilitating communication to MADSS leadership, sponsors, and stakeholders.
You will analyze program operations and evaluate risk factors, working behind the scenes to solve problems and mediate disputes, and identify areas for improvement and remediation strategies.
