Job Description:

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Reviewing technical airfield electronic work for compliance with regulations; 2) Troubleshooting and repairing airfield electronic equipment, air traffic control systems, radars, instrument approach systems, navigational aids, and communications systems to solve complex technical problems or improve system performance; 3) Evaluating equipment design to improve or enhance circuit and system operation; 4) Using applicable test equipment, test methods and practices as related to the air traffic control equipment and systems, including safety precautions; 5) Performing site certification of ATC and airfield landing systems; and 6) Applying knowledge of Naval Air Traffic Control, air navigation aids and landing systems. You will work on highly complex Naval Air Traffic Control, Air Navigation Aids, and Landing Systems (NAALS) supporting Air Traffic Control and Air Operations
You will perform a full range of preventive and corrective maintenance on numerous electronic systems supporting Air Traffic Control and Air Operations.
You will maintain and align Air Traffic Control electronic systems to the mandated specifications required for successful commissioning and periodic Federal Aviation Administration flight inspections.
You will monitor operating trends to detect potential problems and verify the systems operates within specifications.
