Job Description:

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: As the Supervisory Product Support Manager (PSM) for the assigned acquisition program reporting directly to the Program Executive Officer, Program Manager, or Product Manager. This is a pay banded position. The NH-04 encompasses grades 14 and 15 on the General Schedule.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as performing ALL of the following duties: 1) Supporting acquisitions Program Manager Product Support requirements; 2) Managing the efforts of a Product Support team of experts; 3) Fielding weapons systems to including the provisioning process; AND 4) Preparing product Support documentation in support of Milestone Decision reviews or other decision briefs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-03 or GS-13).
Provide overall direction and guidance for the development and implementation of a comprehensive product support strategy for the materiel system throughout the system life cycle.
Ensure appropriate predictive analysis and modeling tools are used to improve materiel availability and reliability, increase operational availability rates, and reduce operation and sustainment costs.
Conduct appropriate cost analyses to validate the product support strategy, including cost-benefit analyses as outlined in Office of Management and Budget Circular A-94.
Ensure the product support strategy maximizes small business participation at the appropriate tiers.
