Three (3) years' experience instructing students in the proper use of equipment, principles, practices, and instruction of parachuting such as how to inspect and don chutes, perform on-ground and emergency in-air chute repair, and the proper assembly of all chute components. AND Must possess current FAA Senior Rigger rating certification. The experience and certification must be reflected on your resume and supporting documentation such as transcripts, degrees, diplomas, certifications, etc. must be uploaded at the time of application to be considered eligible for this position.
Incumbent serves as the assistant to the Head Parachute Team Coach for the USMA Cadet Collegiate Parachute Team.
Serves as parachute instructor for Cadets using standardized training materials regulated by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and/or United States Parachute Association (USPA).
Provides technical training on the methods and techniques for parachute packing, maintenance, and repair in accordance with governing regulations.
Evaluates parachutists' performance, provides feedback, and makes appropriate recommendations to supervisor. Certifies jump readiness, certification(s), and conducts recertification training IAW applicable FAA and USPA regulations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
