One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-13) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized Experience Defined As: Providing expert-level financial management consulting services, management advice, and assistance to supported customers/senior leaders in the application of financial management theories, concepts, principles and standards and resolution of the most complex issues related to operational finance work and demonstrating the ability to negotiate and influence across internal and external organizations to drive results and resolve complex operational/enterprise problems with all levels of management; AND experience supporting the functional development of the Advana workload. Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-13 or higher grade in Federal Service. You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
Plans, formulates and develops financial policies and procedures to enhance the validity, accuracy and integrity of finance processes.
Manages, plans, implements, monitors, and evaluates DFAS financial management programs by providing knowledge and expertise in the entitlement process, finance concepts, principles, practices, techniques and financial management systems.
Conducts independent studies of complex and diversified information, and financial systems or system components.
Establishes continuous interactive communication and liaison with all communities generating financial data, supporting finance operation, and/or receiving DFAS products and services.
Reviews, analyzes and evaluates the status of performance measurement and financial management indicators for assessing the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
Manages a dynamic team of analysts with a mission to field, monitor and operationalize Advana products.
