Job Description:
You will serve as the Integrated Battlespace Simulation and Test Department Head - Advanced Simulation Applications Senior Scientific Technical Manager (SSTM) for the Integrated Battlespace Simulation and Test Department Digital Analytics, Infrastructure, and Technology Advancement (DAiTA) Group, Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD).
The applicant is to provide a separate narrative statement which describes fully, but concisely, how his/her experience supports each of the following Mandatory Technical Qualifications. Each technical qualification narrative should not exceed 2 pages. Failure to address these specific qualifications in a separate narrative statement will eliminate you from consideration: 1. Subject Matter Expert (SME) in advanced methods for installed system testing, advanced mission systems sensor test and evaluation, and advanced simulation applications, architectures, and development. Demonstrated ability to deliver outcomes while maintaining needed relationships. 2. Ability to negotiate complex solutions within specialty areas for advanced modeling and simulation systems and installed systems test capabilities with stakeholders with emphasis on positive discourse, mutual trust and respect. 3. Demonstrated ability to provide leadership to develop, influence and implement advanced modeling and simulation systems and installed systems test capabilities that will integrate with key programmatic, DON, and DoD policies and goals and lead change in areas where needed. 4. Demonstrates ability to recruit, retain, and lead a large personnel team to ensure NAWCAD advanced modeling and simulation systems and installed systems test capabilities execute with a sound engineering basis with proper controls and management of readiness risk. 5. Determines resource requirements and tasks execution of resources to enable successful outcomes for advanced modeling and simulation systems and installed systems test capabilities. You will serve as the NAWCAD expert and lead for the development of synthetic environments and the creation of the virtual battle-space in support of research, development, test, training, evaluation, and experimentation.
You will ensure that a full range of capabilities is available to meet the modeling and simulation and installed system test and evaluation requirements for Navy, DOD, and other agencies.
You will plan and operate a program to provide modeling and simulation and installed systems test capabilities for exploratory and advanced research, development, test and evaluation (RDTE) programs for future weapons systems.
You will operate and manage Navy Installed System Test Facilities to support test and evaluation of aircraft avionics and weapon systems.
You will develop advanced methods for installed system testing, advanced mission systems sensor test and evaluation, and advanced simulation applications.
