Job Description:

This position is part of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for providing countering WMD plans, strategy, doctrine, and liaison support to the Combatant Commands (CCMDs), the Joint Staff, Office of the Secretary of Defense, and other Department of Defense components .
You may qualify at the GS-15, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service: Providing a global view of Combatant Command (CCMD) capabilities, and their areas of responsibility. Analyzing and interpreting national-level strategies, warfighting plans, and CCMD requirements. Supporting a cross-agency requirements management program. Working inside of the Joint Planning Process. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
As a SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS MANAGER at the GS-0301-15 some of your typical work assignments may include: Leads, and serves as a subject matter expert for the agency's requirements process. Ensures all Agency requirements are validated, accepted, adjudicated, and support DTRA's established strategic goals, objectives and outcomes. Interacts directly with Agency leadership on a recurring basis in reference to requirements adjudication, validation and review. Maintains comprehensive situational awareness and understanding of incoming requests for capabilities and/or support across the totality of the Agency's mission space. Makes expert recommendations to the DTRA Director, DTRA Deputy Director and Director, Strategic Integration regarding the acceptance or rejection of new requirements, and/or continued support of existing requirements. Coordinates and leads efforts to develop high-level products for use by agency senior leadership in presentations before OSD, and congressional staffers with respect to matters pertaining to Agency operational requirements. Reviews accomplishment of employees and the program in terms of product/process quality, quantity, applicability and timeliness. Develops and/or supports career plans, and identifies/make provisions for training and professional development needs of subordinates.
