Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Leading personnel performing access control operations, safeguarding personnel, information and critical assets; 2) Using physical access control equipment; AND 3) Regulating pedestrian and vehicular traffic. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Managing Human Resources Oral Communication Physical Security Security Assessment Security Documentation Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07). Conducts daily guard mount to ensure proper accountability of all sensitive items, weapons and equipment.
ensuring the guard force understands their immediate role in protection of government and personal property.
Assigns work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees.
Establish employee standards for performance and prepares performance evaluations based on employee compliance.
Coordinate the activities of a guard force shift to ensure the maintenance of physical security standards.
