About the Position: This position is located with the Medical Treatment Facility at Travis Air Force Base, California. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience assisting in the evaluation of patients to include: 1) utilizing software systems to monitor healthcare delivery processes; 2) analyzing information to identify issues or data discrepancies; AND 3) developing recommendations to improve data quality processes and/or compliance.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
Study the functions of organizations with interrelated work processes to improve data quality processes.
Analyze data accuracy to ensure uniformity of information across different functions within a complex medical organization.
Prepare monthly reports to present findings to Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) leadership.
Participate as a key analyst in studies of broad systems to retrieve data.
Research opportunities of improvement in operating practices to identify where additional training is needed.
