About the Position: The U.S. Military Entrance Processing Command, with headquarters in North Chicago, IL, is a jointly staffed command and is staffed by representatives of all branches of the Armed Forces. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled such as: Assisting in conducting/proctoring examinations for applicants at a testing site; Briefing applicants on examination procedures/directions to ensure understanding; Conducting scoring of examinations and compiling test results and information into a centralized reporting system; Safeguarding testing materials to ensure no loss of compromise of testing materials. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you may qualify if your education meets the definitions below: Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. -OR- Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Computer Skills Education and Training Integrity/Honesty Oral Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks may not be promoted more than 2 grades within the preceding 52 weeks. If you are a current Federal Employee, you must include your pay plan, series and grade in your work experience(s) on your resume submission and/or upload supporting documentation (within grade increase SF50) to show that you meet the time-in-grade requirement. Conduct military enlistment aptitude and qualification examinations.
Brief applicants regarding testing procedures and answer applicant's questions regarding testing procedures.
Distribute and proctor examinations.
Perform qualify control of examination and applicable applicant information.
Score enlistment and high school Armed Services Vocational Battery tests using an Optical Marker Reader (OMR) Scanner.
Assist in conducting testing material inventories and ensure 100% accountability and security of testing materials at all times.
Coordinate with appropriate offices to maintain office records.
Coordinate with appropriate personnel to arrange testing at various sites.
Follow strict mailing guidelines for shipping materials.
Operate a variety of office automation equipment.
