Job Description:
This position is for Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) at Fort Drum, New York. FMWR includes Child and Youth Services, Business Recreation, and Support Services, which enable Soldier readiness, support the resiliency and well-being of Soldiers and Families. All candidates MUST meet at least one (1) of the the below ways to qualify: #1: Bachelor's Degree Must possess a Bachelor's Degree WITH a major study (minimum of twenty-four (24) semester hours) in any of the following: computer science, or engineering, or information science, or information systems management, or mathematics, or operations research, or statistics, or technology management If qualifying this way, transcripts (not a diploma) MUST be provided at the time of application. #2: IT Certification Must have intensive training that provided you an IT Certification and also provided you with the demonstrated knowledge and skills in applying the following: Performing highly structured, entry level work designed to develop broader and more in-depth knowledge and skill needed to perform higher level assignments; AND communicating factual and procedural information clearly, orally and in writing; AND gathering and analyzing basic facts and drawing conclusions; AND data storage, software applications and networking. If qualifying this way, the IT Certification MUST be provided at the time of application AND your resume must clearly demonstrate any applicable knowledge and skills. #3: Work Experience Possess at least one (1) year of full-time experience performing duties that have provided you with the following knowledge and skills: Performing highly structured, entry level work designed to develop broader and more in-depth knowledge and skill needed to perform higher level assignments; AND communicating factual and procedural information clearly, orally and in writing; AND gathering and analyzing basic facts and drawing conclusions; AND data storage, software applications and networking. If qualifying this way, your resume must clearly demonstrate any applicable knowledge and skills. #4: Combination of Education and Experience Possess a combination* of the above listed experience, education and intensive training that provided you with the following knowledge and skills: Performing highly structured, entry level work designed to develop broader and more in-depth knowledge and skill needed to perform higher level assignments; AND communicating factual and procedural information clearly, orally and in writing; AND gathering and analyzing basic facts and drawing conclusions; AND data storage, software applications and networking. *EXAMPLES for Combination of Experience & Education: 3 months of the experience doing the specified knowledge and skills PLUS 3 years of education (90 semester hours completed) that included 24 semester hours in the fields identified above, OR 6 months of the experience doing the specified knowledge and skills PLUS 2 years of education (60 semester hours completed) that included 24 semester hours in the fields identified above, OR 9 months of the experience doing the specified knowledge and skills PLUS 1 year of education (30 semester hours completed) that included 24 semester hours in the fields identified above. If qualifying this way, transcripts (not a diploma) MUST be provided at the time of application and your resume must clearly demonstrate any applicable knowledge and skills & required lengths of experience. Under the lead of a full performance specialist, performs highly structured, entry-level work designed to develop broader and more in-depth knowledge and skills needed to perform higher-level assignments.
Assignments include, delivery of Information Technology customer support services, including system hardware/software installations, configuration, troubleshooting, customer assistance, and/or training, in response to customer requirements.
Uses established industry practices, procedures or policies to determine the most appropriate approach to problem resolution.
Applies information security/information assurance policy, principles and practices.
