Job Description:

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DP-03 (GS-11/12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Serve as a subject matter expert responsible for leading complex avionics systems development, acquisition, and integration for multiple Unmanned Naval Aviation platforms as assigned; 2) Provide support for Technical analyses, analysis of alternatives, Systems requirements development, RMB support, sustainability, industry participation in FAA Special Committees to develop industry standards, and process management for Sense and Avoid Technology; 3) Apply working knowledge of Collision Avoidance Systems and Transponders, and knowledge of ground stations and Radar systems, and experience leading a team of diverse subject matter expertise. You will represent the command and our customer(s) as the technical point of contact for assigned avionics systems.
You will provide subject matter expertise in support of Airworthiness processes.
You will provide technical analyses in support of trade-off studies, engineering investigations, hardware and software architectures, hardware and software compatibility, avionics software and hardware modifications, and related upgrades.
You will prepare avionics system specifications, statements of work, Contractor Data Deliverable Lists, Engineering Change Proposals, Technical Directives, and other documentation technically required to execute duties.
