GS-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Protecting property against hazards such as fire, theft, damage, accident, or trespass; 2) Maintaining order and protecting life; and 3) Demonstrating knowledge of protective systems and techniques. GS-04: Your resume must demonstrate at least six months of general experience and six months of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-03 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. General experience required in areas such as: administrative, technical, clerical, military, or other work that involved following written procedures, rules, or regulations in contacts with coworkers, supervisors, or members of the public to provide a service, respond to inquiries, or obtain information. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Protecting property against hazards such as fire, theft, damage, accident, or trespass; 2) Maintaining order and protecting life; and 3) Demonstrating knowledge of protective systems and techniques. You will serve as the senior member of the entry control/vehicle inspection team which conducts private and commercial vehicle inspections.
You will control access and departures of vehicles and pedestrians in controlled areas to prevent unauthorized access.
You will direct vehicles and pedestrian traffic during periods of emergency or increased traffic.
You will furnish technical direction to an entry control team to properly perform vehicle inspections.
You will inspect private and commercial vehicles to determine if safe to enter installation.
You will assist personnel during an emergency situation (e.g., accidents, drills, fire, natural disasters, motor vehicle or industrial accidents, political demonstrations, hostage or terrorist situations) to protect the safety of life and property.
