Qualifications required: Comprehensive expertise with utilizing financial systems/databases (e.g., Systems, Applications, and Products (SAP) or similar Enterprise Resource Planning systems) to execute funds, expenses and query and extract detailed accounting records and reports to conduct appropriated fund execution reviews to gauge program requirements. Assures budget request data is formally and accurately documented Analyzes a wide range of past and present program and financial data Expert understanding of identifying, analyzing and resolving budgetary problems such as development of alternative methods of funding and altering program budget request to mitigate and/or control future program risks. Other Requirements: Occasional travel may be required. CBP employees are required to utilize their CBP issued laptops and cell phone (if necessary) for the duration of the assignment. Non-CBP employees should coordinate with their Local Property Officer to ensure the availability of laptop/phone, if selected. Non-CBP employees must ensure they hold a Tier 4 Background Investigation (BI); interested participants should reach out to their agency's local Security Officer, prior to applying, to ensure they hold a Tier 4 BI. The temporary assignment is located in the Office of the Chief Medical Officer (OCMO), Office of Operations Support (OS), within the United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP). The primary purpose of the temporary assignment is to assist OCMO programs and division with acquisition, programmatic and budget activities for the Chief Medical Officer (CMO). This assignment is to provide technical and project assistance to effectively analyze, execute and deliver on a range of OCMO organizational and program goals across its divisions. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: * Set and leverages standards and tools to improve the monitoring, and execution of budgets/financial with many different sources and types of funding (i.e., direct multi-year appropriations, allotments from many different appropriations) for compete line of sight to requirements, spend, and costs. * Expert knowledge of the laws, regulations, policies, methods and procedures involving the Federal, DHS and CBP Program Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution/Accountability process to formulate, submit, justify, and execute program budgets encompassing multiple funding sources and Program Project and Activities (PPA). * Identifies and analyzes trends in the receipt, obligations, or expenditure of funds. * Reviews requests for funding in relation to current obligation and expenditures.
