Job Description:
Due to a recent promotion, we are searching for an
experienced luxury sales leader to champion the resort sales efforts at Kohler,
Wisconsin. This position will have the privilege of representing an
iconic property with our flagship The American Club hotel, championship golf at
Whistling Straits and Blackwolf Run, luxury wellness offerings and best in
class culinary.
Opportunity
Lead the Kohler, Wisconsin sales
efforts in the Corporate Group, Weddings, Golf (Wholesale & PGA
Professional) and Luxury Leisure market segments through active management, coaching
and development of our Sales Executive and Sales Coordinator teams.
Specific Responsibilities
Sales
Achieve Corporate Group, Wedding, Golf and Luxury Leisure Sales plans for Kohler, Wisconsin.Define revenue objectives by channel by territory/Sales Executive.Publish Sales Executive Annual Plans to positively impact the growth of all revenue producing areas.Define Strategic Initiatives and supporting Sales Tactics to achieve stated objectives.Publish monthly objective results of Sales Executives performance against approved annual plan.Concentration given to development and retention of winter season business and high-spend groups during peak season.Publish annual tradeshow/industry event Plan.Adherence to approved Financial Plan budget.Publish post event results to document our return on investment as defined by (1) New Contacts (2) Leads Generated (3) Programs Contracted.Conduct Weekly Business Review with Sales Executives demonstrating intimate knowledge of our Sales Funnel, individual Sales Executive performance and forward-looking revenue opportunities. Key reports:Sales Manager ScorecardGroup Analysis – 24 MonthSales Funnel: Prospect, Tentative, DefiniteDemonstrate proactive client facing interaction when clients are on property during Site Visits and/or during their program. Serving as a boots-on-the-ground point of contact should a need arise.
Conduct Site Visits on behalf of Sales Team when appropriate.Lead Sales Coordinator team to ensure first in class customer service throughout the Sales CycleDemonstrate objective measurement of individual Sales Coordinator productivity, proficiency, and customer service levels.Develop next generation of Sales Executives through intentional training, shadow and stretch assignment curriculum.Manage group patterns and group room night caps to ensure highest potential of revenue without transient room displacement.Ensure the fluid execution of all groups through the Sales and Conference Services phases by establishing and monitoring quality work processes of these areas.Ensure staff provides site inspections of Kohler, Wisconsin that are thorough and representative of our luxury standardsEnsure that all correspondence/communications from the Sales office (proposals, presentations, invites, etc) reflects the quality and image of our luxury standards.Ensure all Sales Managers reflect the professionalism and image standards that are required.Proactively participate in designated trade organizations.Travel as required to successfully manage the sales function and its account
Financial/Strategic Plan
Assist VP of Sales & Marketing, Kohler Hospitality with responsibility for all sales department reports and financial adherence to the approved financial plan.Responsible for the strategic direction of the department including leading the sales efforts for new/emerging markets.Assist in the development of annual occupancy, room rates, room revenues, average spends and meeting room rentals rates and revenues.Assist in the development of the sales department budget and adherence to the budget throughout the year.
Sales Department Administration
Leads a sales organization consisting of seven (7) Sales Executives and four (4) Sales Coordinators.Assist with ongoing training to the specifics of high results selling to all members of Kohler, Wisconsin sales organization.Conduct all performance appraisals according to established Kohler Co. guidelines.
Promote teamwork and provide a positive work environment with a strong leadership example.Active and committed participation in all quality programs, including Gracious Hospitality by D.E.S.I.G.N. and engagement programs.
