Job Description:

You will serve as the Air Systems Group System Safety and Air Systems Integration Department Director, Senior Scientific Technical Manager (SSTM) Distinguished Engineer for the Air Systems Group, System Safety and Air Systems Integration Department, Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD).
The applicant is to provide a separate narrative statement which describes fully, but concisely, how his/her experience supports each of the following Mandatory Technical Qualifications. Each technical qualification narrative should not exceed 2 pages. Failure to address these specific qualifications in a separate narrative statement will eliminate you from consideration: 1. Ability to lead broad range of high level, multi-disciplinary teams to extract knowledge and determine long-term strategies to impact mission, DON, and DoD policies and goals for Systems Safety and Air Systems Integration personnel to transition to a mission aligned organization. 2. Capability to lead multiple and/or diverse teams representing Air Systems Group in DON/DoD in support of Readiness and Sustainment to solve complex engineering issues. 3. Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Systems Safety and Air Systems Integration with the ability to deliver high quality results that are innovative and effective leading to accelerated capability delivery and effective sustainment outcomes. 4. Knowledge of DoD acquisition policy and strategy. Determines resource requirements and tasks execution of resources to enable successful outcomes for capabilities delivery and sustainment/ fleet support. 5. Ability to negotiate complex solutions within specialty areas with major stakeholders. You will direct and manage Special Projects providing technical guidance for the development and improvement of NAWCAD’s processes, methods and practices.
You will execute all financial responsibilities for the Systems Safety and Air Systems Integration Department to meet Air Systems Group and NAWCAD goals.
You will determine resource requirements and tasking to enable successful outcomes for capabilities delivery and sustainment/ fleet support.
You will translate strategic direction and intent into Department and Division level accountabilities (Objectives/Measures) and institute policy guidelines for strategy realization.
You will serve as the senior acquisition and sustainment expert for the System Safety and Air Systems Integration Department, responsible for developing and executing organizational vision and strategic initiatives.
