Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-09) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized experience is defined as: Assisting with the oversight and program management of systems of prevention and recovery to deal with potential threats to an organization to include defining, establishing, and maintaining roles and responsibilities; providing training on emergency management principles; and serving as a coordinator and advisor to management and internal/external customers on various projects. Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-09 or higher grade in Federal Service. Develop, coordinate, publish, maintain and distribute the Emergency Action Plans (EAP) and the Occupant Emergency Plan (OEP) for the Site.
Responsible for the completion of Emergency Management data reports; receive, compile, prepare, and submit annual reports.
Establish and coordinate DFAS network exercises to provide training in and testing of emergency/contingency plans, procedures, and programs.
Prepare After Acton Reports (AAR) and make recommendations and options for problems encountered.
Promote and support individual and community preparedness.
