Specialized Experience: In addition to meeting the basic requirements, you must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-14 or equivalent level. Specialized experience must be documented in your resume. Specialized experience is defined as: development, formulation, or execution of special programs and/or projects related to auditing policies, audit management guidance, practices and techniques, and leading and/or managing people Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. Background Investigation: All selectees will be subject to a personnel security investigation which must be favorably adjudicated for occupancy of a sensitive position and/or access to classified information. Serves as the principle technical advisor and consultant to leadership on issues involving highly complex, controversial and sensitive matters.
Responsible for directing special programs including: technical audit guidance, investigative support, quantitative methods, information technology, computer assisted automation techniques and information management programs.
Supervises and directs a team of auditors and other professional support staff performing work relating to Technical Programs, Investigative Support and Information Technology.
Manages the preparation and development of executive briefings.
Oversees technical training program and provides training as needed in special program office areas of expertise.
Directs development of technical training and directs or assists in the presentation of courses, workshop seminars, and staff conferences.
Prepares/issues technical memoranda and directives establishing policy and/or implementing agency policy in new or developing areas of audit responsibility.
