In order to qualify, you must meet the generalized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Student Trainee Positions. Failure to submit transcripts, proof of acceptance or current enrollment in an accredited college/university will result in an ineligible rating. QUALIFICATIONS: For GS-02 grade level: Completion of high school diploma or equivalent no later than June 2024 AND acceptance or current enrollment on an accredited college/university For GS-03 grade level: Completion of 30 semester hours or more of post high school study leading towards a qualifying degree (i.e. associate's, bachelor's, master's, etc.) For GS-04 grade level: Completion of 60 semester hours or more of post high school study leading towards a qualifying degree (i.e. associate's, bachelor's, master's, etc.) NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts. *** For completed educational programs or equivalent during Spring/Summer 2025, proof of acceptance or current enrollment in an accredited college/university for Fall 2025 must be provided. *** PLEASE NOTE: This is not a developmental opportunity; this position will be filled at the GS-02 through GS-04 depending on applicant qualifications and organizational requirements. The individual selected for this position may be considered for promotion to a higher grade without further competition upon meeting all legal and regulatory/program requirements. The appointment may also end early due to lack of work or funds. **** GS-02 Performs selected tasks and phases of routine studies and projects that require application of basic occupational field theory and principles in the technical area of early childhood and school age practices. Participates with senior personnel in conducting non-routine projects. Provides assistance in planning, monitoring, and conducting special studies, projects, and initiatives. Works closely with the Recreation Assistants and Day Camp supervisor with the children during such activities as field trips, sports, games, meal and snack periods, etc. GS-03 Performs selected tasks and phases of routine studies and projects that require application of basic occupational field theory and principles in the technical area of a Recreation Aid. Participates with senior personnel in conducting non-routine projects. Provides assistance in planning, monitoring, and conducting special studies, projects, and initiatives. Provides customer service assistance. GS-04 Performs selected tasks and phases of routine studies and projects that require application of basic occupational field theory and principles in the technical area of a Recreation Aid.
