Job Description:

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer or computer scientist working with multidisciplinary teams to provide system security engineering advisory with a focus on policy and process integration; execution of security control assessments and cybersecurity authorization processes. Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website: All Professional Engineering series, 08XX Computer Science Series, 1550 Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will execute a tailored risk management framework assessment and authorization process that is integrated into the systems engineering process.
You will review and validate security documentation, including system security requirements, security control baselines, and system security plans across the system lifecycle.
You will develop threat models and security risk assessments and recommend mitigations and countermeasures to address risks, vulnerabilities, and threats.
You will maintain a current understanding of latest security technologies and tools. Understand the technologies and tools being used across the activities areas of responsibility as well as industry best practices.
You will lead the system security engineering oversight program, consisting of audits, evaluations, and inspections of programs, sites, and systems.
You will manage the activities of civilian employees, military, and contractor personnel. Must be able to lead and collaborate with engineers and other security personnel in the adoption of new solutions and tailored processes.
