To qualify for a Lead Quality Assurance Specialist (Aircraft), your resume and supporting documentation must support: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including minimum qualifications and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Experience utilizing technical and quality assurance concepts, operating principles, and methodologies, and quality control practices. Experience utilizing qualitative and/or quantitative methods. Experience with direct studies and investigations to analyze and resolve critical technical/quality related problems. Experience monitoring and determining the effectiveness of technical/quality program operations, methods and systems. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Leads the Aviation OM team in the management of assigned area of responsibility (AOR) and performs non-lead/personal Quality Assurance Specialist duties.
Assures that the work of the team is carried out by performing a range of coordinating and supportive duties.
Provides a variety of quality assurance advice, liaison, and coordination on assigned OM Team.
Serves as Senior Technical Liaison between the DLA Aviation procurement community, Industrial Site Activity Commanders, and the Military Engineering Support Activity(s) for organic industrial base sites.
Participates in planning, developing recommendations, organizing and implementing a comprehensive quality assurance program in assigned OM Team/AOR.
Identifies, analyzes, implements, coordinates and monitors program improvements for technical and quality issues impacting the DLA Aviation OM mission.
Develops projects and work methods to standardize processes and procedures and to provide consistent technical review and evaluation for quality assurance issues related to organic acquisition/supply.
