Job Description:

This position is for Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) at Fort Drum, New York. FMWR includes Child and Youth Services, Business Recreation, and Support Services, which enable Soldier readiness, support the resiliency and well-being of Soldiers and Families. Qualified candidates will possess the following: meet state/local age (18 years of age) requirements for the serving of alcoholic beverages by the projected appointment date of 3/18/2025, AND ability to work without more than normal supervision, AND ability to keep your work area clean, neat, and in order, AND application of basic food preparation and handling techniques, AND ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions, AND familiar with basic sanitization principles, AND ability to use and maintain kitchen tools and equipment, AND ability to stand, stoop, bend, pull, push and reach for long periods of time, AND ability to regularly lift and move items weighing up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and carry up to 45 pounds. In a Snack Bar prepares a limited variety of short order fast food items such as hamburgers, hot dogs, fish and chicken sandwiches, pizzas, French fries, etc.
Assures that tables/work surfaces are promptly cleared and cleaned and cleans other work areas to include walls, floors, equipment, and storage areas.
Coordinates food and beverage needs for special events, not limited to preparing and serving food and cleaning work areas.
