Job Description:

You will serve as a Human Resources Assistant (MIL) in the Commander, Navy Military Personnel Command of NAVY PERSONNEL COMMAND.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Processing military separation and Permanent Change of Station (PCS) documents; 2) Responding to customer inquiries to provide guidance or assistance; 3) Preparing documents and correspondence for release by the designated authority; 4) Utilizing personnel databases to research, update and process military personnel actions; and 5) Reviewing supporting documents to ensure they are authentic, accurate, and in compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and precedents. You will conduct quality assurance of permanent change of station (PCS) and permanent change of activity (PCA) orders.
You will review orders and determines which policies and procedures impact the orders as applicable to the specific assignment.
You will apply complex DoD and Navy distribution and military assignment policies and procedures in order to ensure the legitimacy and accuracy of the orders.
You will initiate, track, and review personnel assignment waivers for adherence to Joint Travel Regulations, DoD and Navy military assignment and distribution policies and procedures.
You will review all individual requests for Officer Separation from active duty.
You will be the main point of contact for answering Fleet inquiries to assignment and distribution policy execution by phone and email.
You will provided clerical/administrative support to ensure efficient office operations.
