Job Description:
You will serve as a INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER (F-35 LST Utilities and Subsystems Lead) in the FST DIVISION of FLTREADCEN EAST.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Making technical decisions to solve problems which impact military aviation in-service engineering; (2) Planning, directing, and coordinating policies and day-to-day activities of aviation in-service engineering technical work; (3) Exercising engineering cognizance to solve problems in support of fleet or depot activities while considering operational costs and efficiency; (4) Providing professional leadership and management to support a technically diverse team; (5) Resolving technical and employee related conflicts through negotiation principals; (6) Knowledge of the F-35 aircraft and associated systems including but not limited to: Flight Controls, Landing Gear, Power/Thermal Management, Hydraulics, Fuels, Fire Protection, Vehicle Systems Processing, Electrical Power, Harness and Interconnect, Doors and Mechanisms; and (7) Effectively communicating complex technical information to higher level leadership with recommended technically sound solutions. You will manage the requirements for qualified personnel, processes, facilities, and ensures training/requirements are translated into sound engineering products.
You will coordinate critical tasks such as engineering investigations, hazard assessments, configuration management, and airworthiness/safety assessments.
You will investigate, research, and determine applicability of major modifications for the program that includes modifications that would extend service life, improve survivability, reliability and maintainability, and aircraft safety.
You will work with leadership to ensure availability of the technical engineering competence, knowledge, and professional services required to sustain the related support systems.
