Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) setting up and/or operating live event audiovisual equipment, such as public address systems and digital audio consoles, for large public events and/or high visibility events; 2) operating a variety of audiovisual and/or video recording equipment such as video cameras, audio consoles, power amps, microphones, and digital and analog video editing systems; AND 3) maintaining lighting, audio levels, and/or sound quality for high visibility events such as choir and band concerts. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). -OR- Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Audio Visual Technology, Digital Media, or Broadcasting. -OR- Superior Academic Achievement: Successful completion of all the requirements for a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement. In order to be creditable under this provision, Superior Academic Achievement must have been gained in a curriculum that is qualifying for the position to be filled, such as that identified in Education above. Operate a video production studio and a remote television production van.
Meet requirements to edit television programs by selecting video footage, assembling,adjusting and enhancing audio and video to produce a finished production.
Plan, arrange, operate, and maintain professional audiovisual systems in support of presentations in various auditoriums, lecture halls, and classrooms.
Operate master control video switcher, various video playback decks, and dubbing equipment.
