Job Description:

You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST in the Quality Assurance (QA) Group, Code 704 of the Weapons Repair Department (WRD) Code 700 of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.
For GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience analyzing shipbuilding procedure. Experience with safety requirements and practices in accordance with Navy and TRIREFFAC Occupational Safety and Health policies. Experience conducting submarine maintenance and repair in the mechanical or electrical trades. Experience with Controlled Work Packages (CWP), Re-entry Control (REC) and Departure from Specification (DFS) procedures and associated opening and closing reviews/vertical audits. Experience using Microsoft Office products. You will establish, monitor, and review quality assurance requirements associated with assigned refit work packages.
You will advise project management on the status of project certification and/or problem areas that may impact or delay certification of the project or schedule.
You will perform oversight reviews of Re-Entry Controls and other work packages accomplished by private contractors on projects.
You will conduct investigations and analysis of assigned critical functions to assess process quality and performance.
