Job Description:
You will serve as a TRAINING SPECIALIST in the CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT, INFORMATION WARFARE TRAINING GROUP GULFPORT of NAVMETOCPRODEVCEN.
To qualify for a GS-11, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience demonstrating knowledge of the methods and techniques of training and education including the ability to research the latest technologies that enhance the development of Information Warfare training modules and curriculum following Naval Education and Training Command (NETC) standards. Experience utilizing computer-based training and interpretation applications, graphics and animations, and "Science of Learning" technologies and theory in course development and delivery pertaining to blended learning curricula for officer, enlisted, and civilian workforce. Experience communicating effectively, orally and in writing, in order to prepare technical training material and present technical information to students and special user groups. Experience serving as liaison to employees, operating personnel, management officials and as appropriate, students, special user groups, and members of other agencies, in regards to Information Warfare tactics, techniques, procedures, and training programs. Experience applying knowledge of the APA Style Manual, Department of the Navy Writer's Guide, and Roget's Thesaurus. To qualify for a GS-09, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience using curriculum development software, to include but not limited to: authoring instructional materials; Microsoft Office Suite; and Internet/website technologies. Experience monitoring and understanding new developments and technologies within the Information Warfare community and maintaining, updating, and developing new lesson plans and courses of instruction by utilizing expertise in the subject matter. Experience maintaining sources for research and current information on various training and education policies/subject areas and detecting and applying new techniques and methods applicable to the solution of training delivery requirements. Experience applying knowledge of the APA Style Manual, Department of the Navy Writer's Guide, and Roget's Thesaurus. You will research, create, review, and carry out studies and analyses, resulting in courseware for instruction in the fields of Meteorology, Oceanography, Hydrography, Electromagnetic Maneuver Warfare, Cyber, Cryptology and others.
You will assist the IWTG-G Learning Standards Officer (LSO) with course management and eventually assists the LSO with instructor certification and evaluation services.
You will act as an action officer for planning and execution of curriculum development and/or revision, and the periodic recertification of the IWTG-G course portfolio, as directed by the LSO.
You will review and evaluate audio-visual aids for courses to ensure relevance and accuracy. Assists the LSO in the application of procedures concerning the preparation of curriculum for publication.
You will assess existing curriculum for revision or new development, and determines if Integrated Learning Environment (ILE) development is appropriate or required.
You will participate in seminars, studies, and workshops pertaining to: Master Training Specialist cert, training and testing materials, methodologies of curriculum development and delivery, and optimize classroom delivery methods and resources.
You will maintain, update, and develop new lesson plans and courses of instruction by utilizing expertise in the subject matter.
