Job Description:
You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (ALE-47/Common Carriage Deputy Assistant Program Manager, Logistics) in the PMA-272 Program Office, AC34100 Branch, and Mission Systems Group (MSG) Logistics Department of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. This position serves as the Deputy Assistant Program Manager, Logistics (DAPML) on the Common Carriage IPT supporting PMA-272, Advanced Tactical Aircraft Protection Systems, located at Patuxent River, Maryland.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing and implementing product support and maintenance concepts/requirements for assigned systems to achieve program goals and objectives with minimum life cycle cost; 2) Planning and expending resources/funding to ensure adequate and affordable logistics support posture; 3) Assisting in the development and management of contract requirements (i.e. statements of work and contract data requirements) to support systems engineering/acquisition phases; 4) Participating in risk management processes and early identification of system integration risks; 5) Providing analyses on degraders and data gathered from logistics management information systems in the execution of logistics and program planning documentation; and 6) Defending necessary modifications to previously approved plans to ensure program objectives are met. You will provide pre-emptive and reactive dispensing of expendable countermeasures in order to defeat modern threat systems.
You will directly communicate and coordinate with program/platform stakeholders internal and external to the Department of Navy.
You will effectively communicate and interface with a variety of PMA-272 internal team members as well as numerous external points of contact.
You will assist in submission and defense of Integrated Product Support budgets and support cost information to achieve program goals and objectives.
You will be responsible for all logistics related acquisition and sustainment requirements and exert/exercise managerial responsibility in overseeing/establishing the necessary logistics postures.
You will advocate on logistics program matters for the PMA-272 ALE-47 and Common Carriage Systems.
You will provide supporting data and develop tailored application of the elements of life cycle costing based on authoritative knowledge of the unique characteristics of integration of weapon system.
You will implement and execute logistics operations and ensure that plans are updated as necessary to provide the support required to achieve assigned readiness objectives at the optimum life cycle cost.
You will assist in submission and defense of Integrated Product Support budgets and support cost information.
You will develop, manage and execute engineering change proposals (ECPs)/Technical Directives (TDs)/modifications associated with configuration management of the ALE-47/CC system.
