To qualify for a Logistics Management Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support: 1. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Perform analysis and metrics reviews of logistical system performance. Analyze logistics support utilizing customer and automated systems and tools. Resolve high priority logistics supply and distribution of information. Provide status of critical, key mission or principle items that lead to improved service. Support military service weapon systems and other logistical programs. Provide life cycle weapons systems support. Navigate through the DLA enterprise and organizational entities to arrive at best value solutions for the customer. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Represent DLA by providing logistical assistance/technical expertise to U.S. military activities and U.S. civil agencies receiving logistical support/services from DLA.
Provide a full range of enterprise support of all DLA Supply classes and support services to the customer element.
Act as a DLA Customer Relationship Management (CRM) representative on site for the customer’s concerns and issues and interface with appropriate supply chain owners and logistics service providers.
Coordinate the multiple initiatives/efforts to ensure established Enterprise levels of customer support are met.
Serve as a focal point for DLA in the identification of Logistics problems relating to DLA logistics supplies or services.
