One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-12) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized Experience is defined as: performing extensive analysis and evaluation of financial policies, procedures, systems and regulations to ensure the continuity of a financial organization's business operations and adherence to established financial legislation and operational policies; recommend improvements to financial program operations. Knowledge of work count execution, validation, trend analysis and development of variance explanations. Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS-12 position or higher in the preceding 52 weeks on a permanent competitive appointment may be considered. You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
Provides financial advisory services for a major segment of a business line/product line budget.
Conducts operational reviews for all assigned financial management functions throughout resource management. ensures accuracy of data and detects inconsistencies in processing and management reports; and improves internal controls.
Implements new financial management procedures/systems or develops guidance to clarify regulations or policies
Develops, maintains, and monitors integrated reporting system(s) effecting programs with interrelated functions and operations.
