To qualify for Chief of Staff, your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Senior project manager, researcher, and expert advisor to a Regional Commander on Military supply logistics, budgetary, and staffing requirements. Develop and implement regional program operations and communications based upon new or reviewed legislation or policies. Oversee an organization's Safety and Occupational Health program, policies, and procedures. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Provides single interface for U.S. Indo-Pacific Command Warfighters through a collaborative network of forward positioned and continental U.S. based DLA support capabilities for all business operations and strategic planning programs.
Addresses and develops strategies for legislative and policy issues affecting DLA Indo-Pacific, implementing new or revised programs and operations.
Ensures the efficiency and effectiveness of operations, weighing mission impact of programs and budgetary resources and military/civilian staffing requirements for command consideration.
Responsible for providing support, assistance, and advice to DLA programs, policies, and procedures on safety of personnel property for DLA activities in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and policies to safeguard health and safety.
Second-level supervisor to the region’s Safety and Occupational Health Staff.
Develops strategic Communications.
