This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level (GS-12) position in the federal service. In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Accident/Mishap and Hazard Investigation and Reporting Communications and Media Compliance Inspection Safety and Health Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
Direct research studies to determine overall analysis of occupational hazards and financial loss.
Serves as principal representative and technical advisor on safety matters with primary responsibility for formulating and promulgating Division safety policy and procedures.
Responsible for the development of loss control programs that safeguard military tactical and tactical support air and ground operations and associated equipment throughout the Division Area of Operations.
Knowledge of occupational safety management principles, principles and procedures and body of laws, regulations and precedent decisions applicable to a variety of routine and high-risk activities.
