Job Description:

You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the PROJECT MANAGEMENT ENGINEERING BRANCH of NAVFAC NORTHWEST in Everett, WA.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1)Performing technical engineering assignments, construction quality management, quality assurance planning, quality control, project partnering, environmental requirements, cost estimating, and construction safety practices; 2)Developing solutions and alternatives to construction engineering and operational problems involving buildings, pavements, and/or utility systems; and 3)Reading and interpreting engineering and architectural plans and specifications to ensure proper completion and quality of services provided. You will serve as a Construction Engineering Technician (ET) providing engineering support services in the field of construction contracts between the Navy and private parties (individuals, corporations, or partnerships).
You will assist review, assess, and resolve complex and diverse (e.g. multistory, multi-trade, multiple technologies) construction and design problems encountered during the performance of projects assigned.
You will review and process contractor submittals including progress schedules, safety plans, quality control plans, and utility outage requests.
You will coordinate construction operations between contractors, station personnel, and other Government agencies.
