About the Position: This position serves as the G9 Chief of Marketing Operations, United States Army Recruiting Command. Incumbent is responsible for planning, designing, coordinating, and executing all programs to inform and educate a wide spectrum of populations about Army accessions. Serves as one of four expert advisors to the Commanding General (CG) on the education, public affairs, advertising, marketing, and outreach impacts of USAREC programs and policies.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes executing comprehensive marketing or advertising campaigns to convey organizations mission; utilizing marketing research to formulate outreach strategies; recommending specific approaches to resolve special advertising program issues; Maintaining relationship with federal and public entities: and providing marketing or advertising program guidance to subordinate employees. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Leadership Oral Communication Organizational Awareness Planning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
Direct recruitment outreach activities to ensure the Army recruitment message is effectively received.
Oversee the formulation of communication strategies targeted to a widely disparate audience.
Provide expert advisory services to the commander on public affairs, outreach, and marketing activities.
Respond to employee request and grievances to maintain a positive work environment within assigned area.
Establishes work priorities for employees and supervisors within Marketing operations Division.
Manage the gathering of pertinent marketing data to create command wide communication plans.
Orchestrate plans requiring the full spectrum of internal command and external communications assets.
