About the Position: Serves as a Multimedia Information Specialist for U.S. Army Installation Management Command (IMCOM), Joint Base Langley-Eustis. Incumbent serves as Multimedia Information Specialist and Contract Officer Representative (COR), of the Enterprise Multimedia Center.
This position is located at Fort Eustis, Virginia. Fort Eustis, Virginia is located in Newport News, between historic Williamsburg and Virginia Beach. Transportation includes convenient interstate and major highways connecting the city to neighboring Hampton, York County, Gloucester, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, and Smithfield. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Demonstrated experience in the use of a variety of integrated multimedia presentation materials; 2) Skill in operating digital computer equipment and peripherals to develop original visual information products and related multimedia requirements; and 3) Familiarity with contracting, budgeting and procurement procedures to submit supply requisitions relating to equipment and services. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Communications and Media Contracting/Procurement Reading Comprehension Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
As a Multimedia Information Specialist, you will perform the following duties which is not an all-inclusive list:
Assists the Enterprise Multimedia Visual Information (VI) Manager on all matters pertaining to Visual Information and exhibits, design, and fabrication devices to include distance learning, electronic multimedia imaging, etc.
Develops contract packages in conjunction with the local contracting office including drafting statements of work, independent government estimates.
Coordinates with customers to determine visual information requirements.
Develops statements of work for production houses where acting, voice, and video production talent are required to augment facility capabilities.
Performs the functions of a billing official for multiple government purchase cards.
Assist with the researching suitable materials and equipment from authorized sources.
Tracks funding for the delivery of reimbursable work requests.
