This position is located at the City Center Community Activity Center on Fort Wainwright, Alaska. Up to 25% relocation, recruitment and/or retention incentive may be authorized. Eligible for 1.49% COLA. Experience OR a combination of experience and education that provided the knowledge of the goals, principles, methods, and techniques of recreation programs and an understanding of the interests of individuals or groups. Completion of the requirements for a bachelor's degree with major study in outdoor recreation and parks; recreation management; youth, public, urban or community recreation; or special population recreation is qualifying experience. *If qualifying based on education, transcripts must be uploaded at the time of application for verification purposes.
Organizes, plans, and evaluate community programs that reflect community interests.
Works in executing community-wide recreation events, programs and services to meet the diversified needs of the community, including a variety multi-disciplinary event.
Recommends items if supplies, materials, prizes, decorations, refreshments, and equipment needed for program functions.
Assures that proper security measures are taken to safeguard monies, property, equipment and facility.
Assists with other recreation programs in the Recreation Center as needed.
