This National Guard position is for a Security Specialist (Unit Deployment Manager), Position Description Number NGD2631000 and is part of the 114th SFS. This is a permanent, Title 32, excepted service position. AREAS OF CONSIDERATION: - Title 32 dual-status permanent employee (tenure group 1, 2 or 3) of the South Dakota Air National Guard. - Title 5 permanent employee (tenure group 1, 2 or 3) with South Dakota Air National Guard military membership.
NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Open to SSgt up to MSgt. AFSC requirement: Security Forces 3P0, Intel lN0, Maintenance 2AX/2WX, Command Post 1C3, or Aviation Resource Management 1C0. The military grade of the full-time supervisor must equal or exceed the military grade of personnel supervised. You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below: Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-7 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Experience in the competencies/KSAs listed below. (Experience must be documented in your resume) OR, Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have a master's or equivalent graduate degree or two full academic years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree related to the position. You must have a combination of specialized experience and education. The primary purpose of this position is to manage deployment and logistical assets to ensure productive and effective utilization of materiel funding and requirements for all Security Forces tasks and responsibilities.
