About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Air Force Recreational Area, Fort Tuthill, Flagstaff, AZ. This is a Flexible position, no benefits.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience which provides a familiarity with routines and procedures followed in an outdoor group activities or program or other work that demonstrates general knowledge of principles and practices to perform the position satisfactorily at this grade level. Must possess experience in conducting outdoor adventure programs. Experience in white water guiding techniques including swift water rescue and boatmanship preferable. As a minimum, must possess an approved and current Wilderness First Responder (WFR) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certifications or equivalent.
Conducts comprehensive programs of outdoor activities including multi-day white water rafting trips, kayaking, backpacking, day hikes, bus tours and on-site special events. Maintains control of and accounts for whereabouts and safety of assigned patrons during events, programs, and activities. Performs administrative tasks such as preparing after action reports, sending program information to customers, compiling and responding to customer critiques and comment cards and maintains program records. Serves as trip leaper in the program and activities. Operates a 12-15 passenger vehicle to transport patrons to and from events, programs and activities. Operates a rig truck to transport equipment to and from events, programs and activities. May provide available information and assists patrons in selecting and furthering their interest in the respective area's. Position subject to irregular tour of duty.
