This is a full-time position with the Office of Information Technology at the Supreme Court of the United States in Washington, D.C. The incumbent is responsible to ensures proper procedure, policy and deployment of technology systems within the Court adhere to the standards that have been established. The Auditor participates in compliance review for all network design, security reviews, pen testing, and application development. The Auditor provides reports on findings during the audit process and tracks agreed upon timelines for corrective measures. The Auditor (team) owns the Supreme Court Systems Inventory, and is responsible for managing/tracking the updates of the information and integrity of the systems within the enterprise The Auditor coordinates with the necessary OIT stakeholders and facilitates the required Authority to Operate (ATO) document review and sign-off. The incumbent will create and provide audit reports to include steps to meet policy objectives. The Auditor provides reporting and status of tasks on a regular basis. The Auditor role is key in preparing and assisting with the After Action Reports in an Incident Response event. The Auditor regularly reports on the statuses and life-cycle of the systems going into, maintained and decommissioned within the Supreme Court Systems Inventory. The incumbent is a Program liaison. The Auditor assists with the preparation of periodic briefings for the Director of OIT and other Court Officers.
The Office of Information Technology (OIT) Auditor will be responsible for conducting security and technical assessments, analyzing and working through various configurations, workflows, and architectures to validate technical program information and security integrity. The Auditor will ensure the OIT and the Court are meeting business alignment, compliance, best practices and security protocols. This position will assume the responsibility of coordinating annual, and as needed, penetration testing and organizational inspection of OIT processes, procedures, policies and best practices by third parties. The Auditor position will prepare reports on progress, areas that need improvement or areas that don't meet standards. The Auditor assists the Deputy Director of Operations in ensuring all policies are up to date. The Auditor is fluent in the following disciplines; various server operating systems (Windows, Linux), Server configurations, Active Directory, GPO settings and review, logging capabilities and reporting; Network architecture, network hardware such as switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless; Security awareness to include IPS, IDS, various tools used to scan and verify security within an infrastructure, and architecture review.
