Job Description:
You will serve as a ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER (SUST-AIR) in the MARINE CORPS INSTALLATIONS COMMAND of MARCORPS NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION.
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Planning and organizing technical work for monitoring implementation in environmental sustainability and air quality; coordinating environmental compliance and pollution prevention issues; and providing technical advice on environmental engineering requirements.. You will establish goals, priorities, polocies, procedures, and appropriate controls related to environmental sustainability, air quality, and other environmental programs.
You will provide guidance and assign tasks to the professional staff on environmental sustainability, air quality, and environmental compliance.
You will prepare and present briefings to senior level officials on overall environmental compliance.
You will develop strategies for improving environmental compliance and pollution prevention based on the results of audits and other relevant information.
